Registration is now open for Take 5: Back to Basics, Friday, May 5, from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm (doors open 9:00) at the newly-renovated Main Library, Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, in Warren, Ohio, “The City of Modern Methods”! Join other teen advocates for a day of creative approaches, new ideas, collaboration, and network-building. From basic needs to cooking basics, our teens need to be fed, be healthy, be and feel safe and valued, have hope, and have a place where they are welcome. Come explore how we address those needs with allies in and out of the library field. |
Registration is open for the 35th Annual Virginia Hamilton Conference: Her Story – A Forum on the Power of Storytelling on Friday, April 28 at the Design Innovation Hub at Kent State University. The Virginia Hamilton Conference on Multicultural Literature for Youth is the longest-running event in the United States to focus exclusively on multicultural literature for children and young adults. The mission of the conference is to promote cultural awareness and affirmation of cultural pride while addressing the array of issues which surround the concept of culture. |
