By joining NEO-RLS libraries and individuals have the opportunity to take advantage of 100+ continuing education opportunities each year, remain connected through a variety of Active Learning Communities devoted to special areas of librarianship and library work, and take advantage of special services and consulting, all at great cost savings. *The membership year runs from July 1-June 30. Dues may be pro-rated at any point in the year.

Library Membership

NEO-RLS offers four levels of annual Membership to libraries in the NEO-RLS region* in order to meet individual budget and staff needs. Library memberships allow all employees in the library to take advantage of the programs and services provided. Your library chooses the membership level for the organization. Create your account and the benefits associated with your library's membership will automatically be applied to your account.

*(Ashland, Ashtabula, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Harrison, Holmes, Knox, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas, and Wayne counties).

I work in a library in the NEO-RLS region*
Please choose this option to create your FREE account (Your library's membership level determines the cost of continuing education) if you are currently employed within a library in any of the counties listed above. You will choose your library from a dropdown list.

I work in an Ohio library outside the NEO-RLS region*
Please choose this option to create your FREE account (Continuing education is provided at 100% cost) if you are currently employed within a library outside the the counties listed above and register for programs through your library's affiliation with NEO-RLS. You will choose your library from a dropdown list.

Individual Membership

I work in an Ohio library outside the NEO-RLS region* and want an individual NEO-RLS Membership
Please choose this $55 per year option if you are working in an Ohio library outside the NEO-RLS region* and do not register for programs through your library's affiliation with NEO-RLS. You will receive a 50% discount on all of our continuing education programs.

MLIS Student Membership
This free membership is for students currently enrolled in an MLIS program within the United States and not working in a NEO-RLS Member library. You will receive free access to continuing education. MLIS students working in a NEO-RLS Member library are able to participate in all of the NEO-RLS learning opportunities through their library's membership.

Retiree Membership
This $25 per year membership is for retired library employees. You will receive a 50% discount on all of our continuing education programs.

Unemployed Membership
This $25 per year membership is for unemployed library employees. You will receive a 50% discount on all of our continuing education programs. This membership is offered for a maximum of 2 years.

Leave of Absence Membership
This $55 per year membership is for those working in a library within the NEO-RLS region* who have taken a leave of absence from their position. You will receive a 50% discount on all of our continuing education programs. This membership is offered for a maximum of 2 years.

Outside of Ohio Membership
This $55 per year membership is for those working in libraries outside Ohio. You will receive a 50% discount on all of our continuing education programs.

Guest Membership
This free membership is for anyone who wants to participate in our continuing education programs at full cost without the annual cost of a membership. You do not need to be affiliated with a library or be enrolled as an MLIS student. Individuals working in libraries within the NEO-RLS region* are NOT eligible for a Guest Membership.
