Still a Few Seats Remaining-Register Today!

A Note From the Continuing Education Coordinator

We have an exciting slate of current and upcoming offerings for academic libraries that I'd like to highlight. If you are a director of an academic library and you're looking for an opportunity to connect with your peers, our In-Person Academic Library Directors Networking Meeting is the perfect solution. It will take place at Cuyahoga Community College's Eastern Campus on Friday, March 10th from 2-4 PM. Learn more and register here.

Our next academic library focused webinar, Nervous, scared and unsure: How access to librarians in high school can impact first-year students’ research readiness and library anxiety, is scheduled for Thursday, March 2nd from 2-3 PM. A panel consisting of Abigail Morgan, Social Sciences Librarian at Miami University; Jerry Yarnetsky, Web Services Librarian at Miami University; and Janell Verdream, Instruction Librarian at The Ohio State University, will explore the results of a 2021 study they conducted on the differences in exposure to library instruction reported by students in Ohio high schools. Learn more and register here.

Finally, I'd like to highlight the newest addition to our webinar bundles collection: the Academic Library Webinar Bundle. This bundle includes six webinars from our archived webinars library, with topics ranging from open educational resources to critical library instruction. The latest addition, Embedding Inclusive Excellence: Strategic Planning and Infrastructure Considerations, is useful for libraries of all types that are pursuing greater inclusiveness in their organization. Access the Academic Library Webinar Bundle here.

Have a great day!

Jeff
