A Note From the Executive Director

Did you know that NEO-RLS offers a variety of consulting services to our members? We strive to provide services that are cost-effective and customized to meet the individual library’s needs. Our team brings not only years of combined experience but also a passion for helping our libraries succeed.

Last fiscal year, we completed 12 strategic plans, assisted in the planning of 14 staff days, and provided 7 customized trainings. With the New Year quickly approaching and our consulting calendar beginning to fill up, I would like to highlight these services in this special edition of the NEO-RLS Newsletter.

Strategic Planning

NEO-RLS offers two Strategic Planning Tracks and can work with you to customize the process to fit your library’s needs. We have successfully facilitated strategic plans for both public and academic libraries. Our team guides the process and engages your Board, community stakeholders and staff in defining long-term goals and objectives. Staff Day Planning

NEO-RLS offers Staff Day planning for a single library, for multiple libraries or for all of the libraries in a county or specified area. Customized Consulting

NEO-RLS staff our also able to provide customized consulting services in a number of other areas.

    • Review grant proposals in order to save you time and provide the feedback needed to increase funding success
  • One-on-One Management Coaching      
    • One-on-one coaching sessions for managers to identify management strengths.  Coaching sessions utilize the Supervisor's Skills Questionnaire and assessment tool in combination with discussion of general and specific management scenarios and solutions to grow management skills and increase confidence

    • Assess skills and provide practical methods to improve leadership ability for library professionals at any level
