What are Members are Saying

"NEO-RLS is wonderfully supportive of our staff and our library. They are always there when we need them."

A Note From the Executive Director

For those that were unable to attend our Annual Membership Meeting & Appreciation Breakfast yesterday, I would like to use this space to again, thank the NEO-RLS staff, the Board of Trustees, Committee and Advisory Group members, presenters, and all participating NEO-RLS members for making last year a success for our organization. At the meeting yesterday, I was happy to highlight some of our accomplishments over the last year including an increase in staff development registrations, another successful salary survey, the launch of a new DEIA resources page, and ending the fiscal year adding over $26,000 to our carryover funds! Also, a special shout out to Wendy Knapp, State Librarian for providing an update from the State Library of Ohio and Teanna Weeks, NEO-RLS Board President for acting as our MC. We also had the opportunity to hear from Angela Hursh, Senior Engagement Consultant at NoveList, who presented on strengthening the library's position in the face of book challenges. With challenges becoming more prevalent in our region and around the country, Angela's presentation provided concrete steps to take in combating this issue. Lastly, I would like to congratulate our outstanding award winners for the amazing work they are doing at their libraries.
