What Our Members Are Saying

"Brilliant idea to allow people to join as individuals.  I’ll feel much better about all of the free web meetings in the last 2 years once I have an individual membership.
Thank you!"

Closed for the Holidays

A Note from the Executive Director

It is so hard to believe the end of the year has already arrived and that this is our last newsletter for 2021!  NEO-RLS will be closed December 24th through December 27th and from December 30th through January 2nd.  However, the moment we are back, we will be kicking off 2022 with a day-long, online workshop on how to establish your own JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) council or committee.  Although many of our libraries have already begun such a group they now find themselves uncertain as to what the group should be doing, how it should function or what the emerging best practices really are.  The program is open to anyone interested in developing and implementing JEDI in the workplace.  January 24th is the beginning of our Staff Development Week, “Self-Care as Community Care,” and in February we will welcome a new cohort for the 2022 New Supervisors’ Academy.   In addition, I am excited to announce that we will be holding a series entitled, “ABC’s of Construction” (beginning in April and continuing into the fall) for those of you who are considering a new building or a renovation, now or in the future.   To make certain we cover all areas of building/renovation interest, please take a moment to complete our one question survey.  We hope you will join us for many of our upcoming learning opportunities.  On behalf of all of us at NEO-RLS, I wish you a safe, healthy and peace-filled end to 2021 and the very best for 2022.  Together we are maximizing library potential.  Happy New Year!
