Registration Deadline Extended for the 2022 NEO-RLS Staff Development Week We are extending the deadline for libraries to register for the 2022 Staff Development Week. Please let Melissa Lattanzi know by Friday, January 7th if your library is interested in participating. Full program information will be posted by next week. There will be a per person cost for the entire library staff to attend this year’s Staff Development Week - $10 per person for Gold Members, $25 per person for Silver Members, $37.50 per person for Bronze Members and $50 per person for Geographic Members. We hope you will join us for “Staff Care is Community Care,” from January 24-28, 2022. |

The ALA Youth Media Awards will be announced on Monday, January 24 starting at 9:00 a.m. EST during LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience. Recognized worldwide for the high quality they represent, the ALA Youth Media Awards, including the prestigious Newbery, Caldecott, Printz, and Coretta Scott King Book Awards, guide parents, educators, librarians, and others in selecting the best materials for youth. Selected by committees composed of librarians and other literature and media experts, the awards encourage original and creative work in the field of children’s and young adult literature and media. |
ALA, in collaboration with the FINRA Investor Education Foundation (FINRA Foundation), announces Thinking Money for All Kids: Diverse and Inclusive Reads, an inclusive financial literacy programming kit. One hundred US public and school libraries will receive free books and resources through this initiative to distribute diverse and inclusive financial literacy resources for children and young people. |
