What Our Members Are Saying

"I really thought it was one of the best such workshops I've attended to date. Great presenter and good sense of timing and pace. Loved having the short videos to view in between speaker's presentation."

Children's Summer Reading Program

A Note from the Continuing Education Coordinator

There are oceans of possibilities for the NEO-RLS summer reading programs. We had originally planned to host these events in-person. However, with the uptick in cases, the new variant, and reduced space capacity, we feel we can serve more participants if we continue to host these programs virtually. That being said, we have quite a lineup for you. Starting with the Children’s Summer Reading Program on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 10:00am – 3:30pm we will share ideas for indoor, outdoor and virtual programs, incorporate STEAM, discuss partnerships, see crafts, and more. We will continue the possibilities on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 10:00am – 3:00pm with the Teen Summer Reading Program, consisting of a session on getting to know your teens, escape rooms, mystery boxes, and treasure hunts. Not to mention, RPG‘s and D&D plus a bonus rapid-fire brainstorm of program ideas. Lastly, the Adult Summer Reading Program will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 10:00am – 3:00pm where you can take part in a virtual adult programming palooza which will include information on subscription boxes, community engagement, and other programs. There will also be a lively discussion of potential speakers, partnerships, prizes, and more. We hope you will join us for these interactive summer reading experiences. There are oceans of possibilities and together we are maximizing library potential.
