Fundraising

A Note from the Executive Director

We have been asked multiple times over the past few years to provide programming on the development process and fundraising.  We are very happy to be partnering with Amy Wong, President, and Sara Lundenberger, Director, Nonprofit Counseling, of Dot Org Solutions, in order to bring you a series of five webinars about the art of fundraising.  Amy and Sara strongly believe that the work done by nonprofits in our communities, makes them better places to live, work and raise families.   As such, they are excited to team up with us to provide the libraries in our region with information on how to do more in terms of successful fundraising.  First up on October 26th is Attracting, Engaging and Retaining Donors.  On November 30th we will be working on Setting Your Fundraising Systems Up for Success.  We will ring in the New Year on January 19th by hearing about how you actually ask for money, turning that tricky and oftentimes, awkward request into a meaningful communication.  On February 16th, join us for Planned Giving Basics:  What is Planned Giving and Why it Should be a Part of Every Fundraising Program.  Lastly, on March 16th we will get tips on how to reach through the everyday noise and distractions in Developing Effective Marketing Strategies and Compelling Messages to Attract, Engage and Retain Donors.  Join us for one, join us for all five!  Whether you are a special library within a larger organization, a library without a foundation, a library with a foundation, or a library routinely partnering with your organization’s development team, there will be information presented that will help you elevate your fundraising efforts.  Enjoy your week!  Together we are maximizing library potential.
