NEO-RLS News-July 6, 2020

2020 Virtual Emerging Technology Symposium the Month of September

A Note from the Executive Director, Betsy Lantz

We are now beginning our new fiscal year and, as such, it is the beginning of a new Board of Trustees with two members ending their terms.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jim Wilkins, Director, Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, for his eleven years of service to NEO-RLS.  In addition to serving two terms as President, Jim participated for multiple years on the Finance Committee, the Bylaws/Policy Committee, the Audit Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee, serving as Chair of each at various times.  We will miss his perspective and insights, commitment, and wealth of historical institutional knowledge.  I would also like to thank Tracee Murphy, Director, Wellsville Carnegie Public Library.  Tracee has served on the Board for three years, participating on the Finance Committee.  During her tenure, Tracee has effectively represented our small libraries throughout the region and provided valuable insight with regard to dues and fees.   We are welcoming back Kris Carroll, Assistant Director, Geauga County Public Library (Zone 1 Library), Michelle Alleman, Director, McKinley Memorial Library (Zone 3 Library) and Leslie Cade, Director of Museum Archives, Cleveland Museum of Art, Ingalls Library and Archives (Special Library).  In addition, we welcome three new Board members – Trent Ross, Deputy Director, Rocky River Public Library (Zone 1 Library), Melissa Mallinak, Director, Loudonville Public Library (Zone 4 Library) and Andrea Legg, Director, North Canton Public Library (Geographic Member Library) Thank you to everyone who dedicates time to NEO-RLS on behalf of the many and varied libraries in our 22 county region.  Together we are maximizing library potential!
