Solon’s library is getting an upgrade with high-tech Innovation Center and workforce training
The Solon Innovation Center, opening March 20 at the Solon Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library (CCPL), is bringing cutting-edge technology, state-of-the-art maker tools and career training opportunities to the community. This library expansion, in collaboration with Swagelok, aims to
fuel creativity and connect job seekers with high-paying careers in manufacturing—all under one roof.
“City leaders in Solon identified the need for a place where small businesses and entrepreneurs can incubate ideas and pursue new opportunities,” said Tracy Strobel, CEO of CCPL. “After exploring the creation of a standalone innovation center, they connected with CCPL to explore how we could provide spaces and services to meet these new community needs along with our traditional library offerings. CCPL jumped at the opportunity to serve Solon residents in this new and exciting way. It is a natural extension of our mission to help Cuyahoga County residents read, learn, create and connect.”
