Attend Book Launch Events for "Knowledge Justice: Disrupting Library and Information Studies through Critical Race Theory"

We Here is privileged to announce we are hosting book launch events for Knowledge Justice: Disrupting Library and Information Studies through Critical Race Theory (MIT Press, April 2021), edited by Sofia Y. Leung and Jorge López-McKnight. Learn more and register here: https://www.wehere.space/knowledge-justice

This is the first book-length text that utilizes Critical Race Theory in Library and Information Science (LIS). With contributions from 29 people who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color scholars, educators, and practitioners, the foundational principles, values, and beliefs of LIS in the U.S. nation-state are challenged, while also imaging the possibilities for justice to be actualized in the now and beyond.

Join us for a three-part series of conversations between the editors and contributors. Events will take place March 3 (6:30p ET), March 29 (6p ET), and April 14 (5p ET). Learn more and register here: https://www.wehere.space/knowledge-justice

Note: Some events have or will soon reach maximum capacity for a seat for the live webinar, but we have opened up a request for a YouTube Livestream link. YouTube links will be sent 7 days in advance via us@wehere.space, so be sure to check your Spam.
