This conference promises to explore what it takes to promote equity, create opportunity and build community through summer learning programs. Libraries are such an important part of the universe of summer learning. As with many other focus areas with national organizations and conferences (early childhood, family engagement, afterschool, etc.), libraries are involved and relevant, and librarians benefit from being part of the conversation, learning from peers in other fields, and representing our profession to these related sectors. If your library has the capacity to send someone to a national conference, this is one to consider. Registration is $800 plus lodging and travel.
