From the State LibraryThe State Library of Ohio is soliciting proposals for a comprehensive evaluation of its five-year Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) program, as required by Section 9134( c ) of IMLS’ authorizing legislation. The RFP(library.ohio.gov/documents/evaluation-of-ohio-lsta-program-request-for-proposal-issued-november-2021/) is for an evaluation that will highlight effective past practices, assess the efficacy in implementing the stated activities, assess the impact that the expenditure of LSTA funds has had on the Ohio library community and their users, as well as include a draft of the next five-year plan. The key findings and recommendations from the evaluation study will be used in developing the next five-year plan. A draft of the next five-year plan will be a part of the final work product. An evaluator will be selected on the basis of knowledge and experience with LSTA, work plan, including timeline and proposed methodology, and budget. The complete LSTA Five-Year Plan 2018-2022 (http://library.ohio.gov/documents/lsta-five-year-plan-2018-2022/) can be found on the State Library website. Additionally, more information about the Ohio LSTA Program can be found on the State Library website (https://library.ohio.gov/services-for-libraries/lsta-grants/).
