Mark Your Calendars for the NEO-RLS 2020 Membership and Appreciation Meeting!
This year our Membership and Appreciation Meeting will be held virtually on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 from 10:45 -12:30.  We will welcome our new State Librarian, Wendy Knapp, who will speak about her vision for the State Library of Ohio.  In addition, the leadership of many of Ohio’s library organizations will speak on the topic – “Look to the Future: Next Steps after the Pandemic.”  We will honor all of those that participated in the life of NEO-RLS over the course of the year, helping to bring our region excellent continuing education opportunities and building a better regional for you!  We hope that you will join us.


Awards Deadline September 1st
Do you deserve an award?  Do you know someone who does?  Along with the Rising Star Award which honors a library employee with no more than five years’ experience, we now have the NEW Shooting Star Award to honor library employees who have been working in the field with more than 10 years’ of experience and the NEW Advocacy Award for those who have supported the libraries of our region through their advocacy.  The first two award recipients will be selected by our new State Librarian and presented at the annual NEO-RLS Membership Meeting.  The Advocacy Award recipient(s) will be selected by the NEO-RLS Awards Committee and presented at the Membership Meeting.  If you know someone who has had a positive impact on your library and community, please consider nominating them!  The deadline for all three awards is now September 1^st and all of the information you need is on our website under Awards.  Honor the stars and advocates in our region by nominating someone today!
